TV & Film Acting Classes

In these workshops, we will look at acting for the screen by breaking down, analyzing and then working through scenes from age-appropriate TV and film scripts.

Each workshop is 6 weeks in length with a maximum of 8 students per session.

For students in grades 6 - 8, sessions run on Saturday afternoons from 2:00 - 4:00pm:

 

Session 1: September 25 - October 30

Session 2: November 13 - December 18

(The last class may be moved depending on everyone’s availability)

($240 +HST per session)

 

For students in grades 9 - 12, sessions run on Saturday afternoons from 12:00 - 2:00pm:

 

Session 1: September 22 - October 27

Session 2: November 13 - December 18

Instructor Biography

Wayne Davis is the  co-artistic director of Charactors Theatre Troupe and has been working with young performers in theatre, TV and film for over 20 years. He is the co-founder and co-artistic director  of City Youth Players (a community theatre company) and has directed over 35 productions.

He has also worked professionally as an actor on both the stage and screen and is the father of two children who are both highly successful in the theatre and film industry.

Wayne has coached students privately  for theatre, TV and film auditions and has been the on-set acting coach for two Emmy award-winning children's television programs.
